Drone fertiliser application for UK farms
Liquid nitrogen, foliar feeds, biostimulants and granular fertiliser put on from the air by our pilot. No ruts, no compaction, and it goes on when the ground is too wet for a tractor.

Applying fertiliser by drone is legal in the UK today. We can put on liquid nitrogen, foliar feeds, biostimulants and granular fertiliser on cereals and grassland, at the growth stage your agronomist asks for, without a wheel touching the field. Application starts from late October 2026, once the CAA grants our Operational Authorisation. Crop mapping is available now.
Arable growers who want nitrogen or a foliar feed on at the right growth stage rather than when the ground finally dries out. Livestock farmers who want grassland fed early in the season without churning it up. Anyone with awkward fields: steep banks, wet corners, headlands too tight for a sprayer, or ground that cuts up whenever a tractor crosses it in March.
It also suits a late top-up on a tall crop, where a boom sprayer would knock the crop about and the tramlines would take another pass of wheelings.
We can apply: liquid nitrogen, liquid fertiliser, foliar feeds, biostimulants and granular fertiliser. Liquids go through the 70 litre spray tank on our DJI Agras T70P; granular product goes through the spreader. The same aircraft handles both, so one visit can spread a granular top dressing and spray a foliar feed on another field.
We cannot apply plant protection products. That means pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, because UK law does not currently permit applying them from a drone. We will not do it, and we do not know when, or whether, that will change. If you want the full picture, read can drones spray crops in the UK?
Your agronomist decides. Rates and timing are set by your agronomist or FACTS adviser. Our pilot flies to their plan and logs exactly what went on, where, and when.

Product, rate and timing come from your agronomist or FACTS adviser. We fly to their figures, never our own.
Our pilot checks the boundary, obstacles and access, and the DJI Agras T70P flies a planned route with RTK (centimetre-accurate GPS) positioning.
Liquid product through the 70 litre tank, or granular through the spreader, refilling at the field edge. Nothing drives on the crop.

No travel charge within our 21 counties, and a minimum job of £150 rather than a minimum field size. Prices are shown without VAT. HarvestHawk is not currently VAT registered, so nothing is added today; if we register, VAT will be added on top at the standard rate. Every price is on our pricing page.
We work from three bases: Cornwall, Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, and Hertfordshire. There is no travel charge within the 21 counties they cover, and a minimum job of £150 rather than a minimum field size. If you are between bases, ask: our pilot plans the diary around where the work is.
We are insured for public liability to £5 million with Coverdrone, subject to policy conditions. The details are on our compliance page.
Yes, provided the weather allows us to fly on the day. Your agronomist or FACTS adviser sets the product, the rate and the timing, and our pilot flies to that plan. We do not change the rate or the timing ourselves.
The DJI Agras T70P has a 70 litre spray tank for liquids, and a spreader for granular product. Our pilot refills from the field edge between runs, so the tank size sets the rhythm of the day rather than the size of the field we can cover.
Nothing touches the field except the product. The drone flies above the crop, so there are no wheelings, no ruts and no compaction, which matters most on wet ground in early spring when a tractor would leave marks that last all season.
Aerial spreading of granular fertiliser is £18 an acre and drone spraying of liquid fertiliser, foliar feeds and biostimulants is £19 an acre.
